Michele and Ryan flew out from London to get married at Cranford Lodge in the Natal Midlands, just outside of Durban. It was a beautiful misty morning as you would expect which held out the whole day for us. It was such a beautiful, relaxed wedding full of laughter and and love. Mr & Mrs Tennant

I photographed Dave and Leigh’s wedding at Netherwood right in the middle of winter. It was phenomenal weather for this time of year in the Midlands (KZN). It’s hard for me to describe (now that I am trying to) but Leigh and Dave have such a natural, regal, classic and comfortable way about them. This was further amplified by the way that their friends speak of them, everyone adores them and I think these photos show why. Every part of the day was filled with laughter and loads of friends and family. Everything on the day ran around 30 minutes early(in photographer time), it’s almost unheard of, this set the tone for a calm relaxed pace through everything. Dave and Leigh were so caring and considerate and were always checking in on how I was doing which really is, above and beyond general expectations, it was great to feel so much a part of their special day, I can’t thank you both enough, (to the point of making me tea after our creative shoot! – I will never forget that haha). Wow, so much to say about this gorgeous wedding, it was an absolutely typical Winters morning in Notties i.e FREEZING, this resulted beautiful moody light during the day but sadly below freezing rainy weather in the evening. This meant that we had to cut the creative shoot a little short, which we then re-shot at a later time. The later images have a more editorial feel to them which I found really appealing in that they were clean and crisp and I found little ways to fill the negative space with intersting building details or reflections. Apart from the gorgeousness that is the bride and groom, my favourite thing about this wedding were the unique colours and decor elements, it was so different and really stunning. Loved every minute of this wedding and I will let the images do the talking. . . Once again, HUGE congrats to Mr and Mrs Trinder – you guys look amazing, you powered through the cold and I can’t thank you enough for having me be a part of your special day. The van Zyls

Candice and Justin flew me up to Mpumalanga to photograph their big day at Oliver’s Restaurant in White River, which is both of their home town. It is one of those fairytale love stories, they grew up together, went their separate ways to study and work and then found each other later down the line, fell in love and the rest was history. The day of the wedding was a sweltering hot and even though the power cut out from around 2pm until just after the ceremony, that didn’t put an damper on their day at all – thank goodness Candice had managed to get her hair done before that happened! Such a beautiful couple and a beautiful celebration. Thank you to everyone who looked after me, I have never felt so important in a wedding xxx Wishing these two gorgeous souls an eternity of happiness together. xx

Kat & Andrew Muir [part1]

I shot Kat and Andrew’s wedding at Verbara Lodge in May. With the winter light we had to hurry with the creative shoot and even when it got dark, we managed to make do. It seems that with each wedding I shoot it gets harder to choose which images to post, so here is part one. What a fun day. Congrats guys!

Megan and Gareth flew out from London town to tie the knot at Collisheen Estate in Ballito. It was one of the most chilled and happy occasions that I have been a part of (I am biased however as I have known the couple for many years). There was no shortage of beautiful locations for photos, a photographers playground. Congrats Megs and Pimpy xxx

Mr & Mrs Nuttall

Kait and Jon got married at Bonamanzi Game Reserve, on the gorgeous KZN North Coast. I spent many weekends in this area growing up, so it has a little spot in my soul. It’s the first time that I have shot a wedding on a Game Farm and apart from the obvious beauty being in the wild, what’s unique is that everyone at the wedding was staying for the weekend so they were all well and truly anticipating a party, even Kait’s Nanny (Grandmother) was involved until the end (and caught the bouquet). I hope that I have been able to show what a close and loving bunch they are and so full of fun, they even succeeded in dragging me onto the dance floor at the end!

Carly & Pearce were married in Ballito on the beach, their relaxed and content outlook is evident and flowed throughout the happy day.
